I have been hoping someone from south Paterson might find this site,no luck so far. but all your memories of downtown are mine too it has brighten up my days reading and remembering all the things you all write. does anyone remember the little swimming pool with the fountain in the middle at Westside Park, my Dad use to take me there, I use to love it. Does anyone watch The Sapranos? I keep looking for places I remember,I found on the internet a site where they show the places they film and I found what I was looking for Piccolo's pizzeria ,it's now on 312Union Ave: I would like see Ralph,& Dave Frech,Denny Iozzio,Bye for now!

I had some friends from South Paterson but they hung out mostly in Totowa. I think that they are alittle older than you but you might have heard of their younger brother's or sister's, so here are their names. Bobby (Peanut) Jackson Mary Blakley Popeye ( I don't remember her real name) Jimmy and Cathy Eglin There are a few more but I don't remember them at this time. They all went to Central and like I said they hung out in Totowa. Take care JoJo

I do not think I know the names you mentioned, but I was glad you replied, I enjoy reading all your memories especially about downtown, and all the stores, and eating places.there was talking about mutton pies,I do not know who started it but there was a little place dowontown well known for there hotdogs all the way,I do not remember the name but he had mutton pies and would put the chilie sauce that he put on the hotdogs they were delicious, did you ever hear of it?My mother use to take me there sometimes after shopping.I live in Scotland now there is a 5 hour difference in time I am 5 hrs ahead of you.Bye for now,Thanks for the memories, Lillian

I did not know that you live so far away, whatever brought you to Scotland? The hot dog place downtown was it on a side street, Ellison St, if it was was it "Jimmy's" It was a small place it sort of looked like a little diner. It could have been on the corner of Broadway and Main St. also. What's it like in Scotland? I'll bet it's a real change from Paterson, how long have you lived there? E mail me any time. JOJO
